Topcats
Topcats is the advanced choir at Paradise High School. It consists of the juniors and seniors (and sometimes sophomores) in chorus that not only sing the best, but work the hardest and perform the best, ideally. One of the unique things about this choir and the other Paradise High School choirs is the fact that they don't just stand up there and sing. They perform as well, with choreography and faces that match the mood of the song.
It takes a lot of dedication to get into Topcats and the competition is high. My director is always watching and paying attention to how each member grows. Topcats is not just an end of the year try-out. Elegibility into Topcats is based on the entire year's work and previous years work. Growth is noted and payed attention to as well. Part of the try-out is singing and doing choreography on a video tape, but though that is an important part, it is not the only part.
